The AARP is not a liberal special interest group. In fact, any lobbying or advocacy activity it undertakes is for advertising or PR purposes.
The AARP is a mega-corp selling insurance, pharmaceuticals, and financial service. The lobbying they do on politics or social issues is for their own benefit.
